The contents of my Magic Yarn Ball from a swap on Mothering.com ! Issy is wearing one of the rings. She was very excited and wanted to wear it to bed and i promised she could wear it tomorrow :) I love the red yarn... now what to knit with it?
These pretty little stitch markers just brighten my day. I want to start something so i can use them! lol :)

More Calorimetry!

Well, i tried again. It isn't much smaller, even though i was using size 6 needles instead of 8. Will have to tweak some more, but i do like the colors! It is actually for a friend though. Hope she likes it.
I did Issy's using size 6 needles but i only cast on 80 stitches.
Well, off to tweak more

Snow!

We played in the snow yesterday! Joe built the snowman and i took the kids on shovel rides (for lack of a sled)

Calorimetry and other FOs

A Curly Purly soaker on Liam. I love this pattern now that i can knit continental! The yarn is 100purewool which knits up beautifully, though i did have to set the color because it was bleeding as i knit. A small price to pay though :)
A Punk Knitter soaker on Li. He is such a good model!
Alaina's Easy Peasy. This is the long part, these 24 rows until i divide at the neck. It is coming along though.
Here is the Calorimetry from Knitty.com. I like the pattern, but it knit up huge. I am trying to decide whether to frog it or just be happy with it.
It overlaps about five inches in the back....

In knitting news, here are my several WIP. This first one is a hat for Issy. Still needs earflaps and a pom pon, she is obsessed with the pom pon :)
I am having major major "second leg cuff syndrome" with this soaker. Truly, it will only take maybe thirty minutes, but i have been totally putting it off. Must.... finish... it.
Alaina's sweater. Actually, I took that picture yesterday and worked on it more last night. Will update soon, because it is coming along nicely :)


Last weekend, yucky ice, this weekend, snow! If it is going to be cold here, it might as well be snowy. Isaac went out to play in it with Daddy briefly and then came in and had some good hot chocolate. Liam and I stayed in :) He looks like the little boy off of "A Christmas Story" all bundled up like that.

Well, i trudge on...

Liam has been not sleeping well the last couple of days... but so cute anyways! He and Isaac decided that they weren't going to sleep after they slept fifteen minutes in the car on the way home from lunch with Joe. He finally sacked out and is currently delaying Isabelle going to spend the night with Richie. She is stalking me because of this ;)
