I have a husband who is my best friend, my highschool sweetheart and who I am still crazy in love with after almost 15 years together. We have babies... five beautiful, stubborn, imaginative, strong-willed little ones who challenge my wits and sanity every day. I am a lover of God, of birth, of life, of the forest and mountains, of wheat fields. I create things with yarn, needles, my heart and my hands. I am me.

Naps
Issy was very very sad yesterday evening. We went to the Parish picnic at our new church and she was too shy to talk to anyone even though she really wanted to play with some of the other little girls. She cried hysterically on the way home about how she wanted a friend. It near broke this Mama's heart. I think she grew up yesterday. I wish that i could always protect her from feeling that way.
But it is going to be okay. We talked to her about how Isaac is always her friend and that as we are here longer and meet more people, she'll find other little girls to play with. I love her so much. Sweet little girl.

yarn and finished sweaters and capris
The one skein is bamboo in different shades of browns and gray and cream. I am going to make a Dream Swatch Headband. That is, after Easter. The yellowish peachy yarn is for a Tea Party Dress for Issy and the blue is for vests for the boys. I am going to have to knit a lot for the next few weeks to finish it though... less time for cleaning ;)
The Easy Peasy, newborn size. It sure knits up a lot faster when you aren't doing a 2T Just need to weave in ends and put on buttons. I love the way it turned out

turning into one of "those" days
And here we are knitting together. My little boy is being challenging today. No good naps, which is sad for both of us. Perhaps he'll feel better if we go for a walk
