Snowy Saturday and teaching Issy to knit

They played outside in the snow on Saturday. It was snowing when they got up and stopped late morning. They went outside after naptime and it started snowing again. They must've have had a good time because they stayed out there for 45 minutes before i told them it was time to come in. It is significant for me to note that we have already received near the amount of snow that we probably got all winter in Wichita last year. Yipes! I am glad my kids like snow (and that i'll be spending a couple of weeks in Kansas in the spring!)
We decided it was time to learn to knit for real. So i took her to the yarn store on Saturday morning and let her pick out her own (big) yarn and (big) needles. She is actually quite good. She is going to make a purse :)

oh my goodness! Snow! :)
Issy looks so grown up! Where are my kleenex?
Did she do all that knitting on her own? That's great!

So is Issy learning English or Continental Knitting? Yes I would like to know if Issy did all of that piece in the picture, if so WOW!

I am teaching her English right now. I have been sitting behind her, helping her guide the needles at first and now just fixing things if she pulls it off or puts the needle in the wrong place. Such a big girl!

wow..erika and michelle asked my question already. She is growing up!

And that picture of Isaac and Isabelle drinking hot cocoa-too cute! They get along so well, and the picture reflects perfectly how much Isaac looks up to his big sister!
